Automation, Industry 4.0 and the IoT in the spotlight – the annual gathering of the technical writing and documentation sector in Nuremberg
Once again, this year’s SCHEMA Conference promises to be a highlight for the technical writing and documentation sector. After last year’s record attendance of 500 participants from 21 countries, the organiser – SCHEMA Group from Nuremberg – will this year welcome clients, partners and interested industry professionals into the spacious new venue of the Nürnberg Convention Center (NCC) Mitte in Nuremberg. The focal point of the two-day event on 9th and 10th May 2017 will be workshops, lectures, presentations and partner solutions relating to the SCHEMA ST4 Component Content Management System and the intelligent SCHEMA CDS Content Delivery Solution.
Intelligent content management in an era of Industry 4.0 and the IoT
Automation, Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things (IoT) are hot topics not only for information technology companies, but for the process and manufacturing industries too. As a result, a broad range of sectors – including automotive and electronics, aviation and aerospace, machine and plant engineering, medical technology and the pharmaceuticals – will be represented at this year’s SCHEMA Conference, where delegates will be able to examine the latest developments concerning modular working in technical documentation. Speakers from Philips Medical Systems, Otto Bock Healthcare, Bentley Motors, Daikin, Jensen, SEW Eurodrive and Maquet and many more will report on their practical content management experiences with SCHEMA ST4, using content delivery and the challenges and opportunities of automation and digitalisation in the authoring operations of global companies. Representatives from companies and professional organisations will also address the topical question of content delivery in times of intelligent information distribution and interlinking in the panel discussion on 10th May. Alongside this, SCHEMA partner companies will be presenting their „best of breed“ solutions in the fields of Industry 4.0, content solutions, language and translation management, publication, data migration and consulting. The CMS Camp will take place alongside the SCHEMA Conference on 10th May. Interested visitors to the CMS Camp will be able to gain an insight into the requirements and potential of a modern authoring system (preregistration required).
