(pressebox) Lüdenscheid/Germany, 08.03.2011 – In these times of increasing virtualisation, data security has an ever more important role to play.
Now, it is not only in hospitals, control rooms and large computing centres that it is essential to avoid disturbances in the mains supply and to secure the supply to critical electrical loads. Even in small offices or in the home office, users need the assurance that electrical equipment will work without interruption.
DIGITUS® Professional has six different UPS models with and without LCD displays to ensure an uninterruptible power supply. All the models are supplied complete with USB cable, power supply cable, operating manual and a Product Support CD-ROM.
„The microprocessor-controlled Line Interactive Technology takes care of automatic voltage regulation (AVR) and cold start diagnostics and has an intelligent system for battery management.“ adds Harald Kintzel, Technical Director of DIGITUS®.
All the connected equipment, including telephones, fax machines and modems are protected from voltage surges, under-voltage, lightning, short-circuit, overcharging and over-discharging.
The DIGITUS® Professional Line Interactive UPS models DN-170023, DN-170024 and DN-170025 are additionally fitted with an LCD system status display, which gives the user information about the input and output voltages, battery status, charge status and operation. Cold-start and energy saving functions are supported, as is automatic frequency detection. Optionally the UPS can also be used without batteries as an automatic voltage regulator (AVR).
Communication takes place over an USB communications interface. An acoustic alarm is sounded if required.
