Apprenticeships with passion at SKIDATA

Apprentices at SKIDATA enjoy comprehensive training that goes far beyond the dual vocational training system. In-house training courses at SKIDATA give these future professionals comprehensive know-how for an international career. SKIDATA surprises its apprentices with training on a level playing field and gives young professionals the chance not only to put their skills to use from the very beginning, but to prove them as well: just as they did at the EuroSkills 2016 vocational skills competition in Gothenburg, Sweden, for example.

SKIDATA apprentice Pascal – state champion in electronics – proudly represented the Austrian team at EuroSkills 2016 in December. With 14 medals, this Austrian rookie racked up his third win in a row at the competition. „It was a great experience to take part in this competition among 500 apprentices from all over Europe and to meet other young people who are pursuing their profession with as much passion as I am,“ said Pascal, who was impressed by the event.

Apprenticeships at SKIDATA: entry to a career with a passion

It is this passion for their career that SKIDATA wants to give all apprentices. Motivation and recognition, personal freedom and career opportunities, as well as respectful teamwork characterize career training at SKIDATA. This is a basis that strengthens the joy of learning and passion for their vocation. At the moment, around 20 trainees are being trained in seven various skilled trades: electronics, media design, mechatronics, information technologies technician, information technologies computer specialist, office administration and operating logistics clerk.

Apprenticeships with added value: SKIDATA training for apprentices and trainers

At SKIDATA trainees receive excellent professional training in which all apprentices support each other. More senior apprentices pass on their knowledge to junior apprentices. In addition to dual vocational training, there is in-company training in personal development for apprentices, as well as for trainers. Because in the world of work, you need more than just your technical knowledge. For this reason, SKIDATA apprentice and trainer development courses teach soft skills in the areas of communication, time management and motivation.
