(pressebox) Koeln, 26.02.2011 – Some marketing experts in tourism industry would like to register country-travel-domains, like egypt.travel. This is not possible, as such domains at the ISO-list are protected and only governments can register them.
But: You can register country domains, which are not at the ISO-List because they are not in English.
In this case, e.g. aegypten.travel is possible. (Sorry this domain is already registerd).
We have some examples which are available:
1.niederlanden.travel
2.ruanda.travel
3.botsuana.travel.
You should look for country names in your language and then ask us, if the name is available or to look up the name at the Domain Checker which we offer at domainregistry.de
Names of towns are not longer protected at .travel. You can register the name of any town or touristic region, which is available.
