SECUDE closes sale of its application security division to SAP

(pressebox) Emmetten, 03.02.2011 – SECUDE is pleased to announce the successful completion of sale of its enterprise-level application security division to SAP effective from 1st February 2011. SECUDE will now re-align its global resources to develop and promote its IT data protection suite, FinallySecure.

SECUDE’s Chairman, Dr. Heiner Kromer, states that the sale of the SAP application security business allows SECUDE to focus exclusively on data protection. „SECUDE is well funded and is capable to finance rapid expansion. It is obvious that the organization and its management must be restructured to meet the new strategy and market requirements.“

Organizational Restructure

As the first step towards the reorganization process, SECUDE has acquired Secacon, a Swiss-based R&D IT security company. Secacon’s CEO, Mr. Walter Gygli, a highly regarded encryption expert, is taking over the responsibility as SECUDE’s Chief Technology Officer as of 1st February 2011.

Mr. Johann Petschenka, currently Country Manager (Switzerland), will take over the role of Business Product Manager for the FinallySecure portfolio with immediate effect. He takes over this role from Mr. Michael Kummer, who is promoted to Executive Vice President of SECUDE USA.

Several overseas locations and business of SECUDE will be closed, restructured or expanded during the next few weeks to gear up to the strategic global requirements of SECUDE.

„There will be additional important announcements in the forthcoming regarding SECUDE’s FinallySecure business portfolio,“ states Dr. Kromer.
